5/7/2023 0 Comments The witness nora roberts![]() ![]() And while I loved most parts of the book, the character of Abigail kind of bothered me. I read this novel when it first came out. The problem? He knows she's hiding something and he makes it his life goal to figure it out. He loves how smart she is, how she just knows everything about everything and how blunt and unromantic she can be. He becomes very smitten with our lady Abigail. ![]() She changes her name and basically tries to be invisible.Įnter Brooks Gleason, police chief. There's some corrupt cops and a lot of running around before she lands in a new town as a new woman, Abigail. The one day she takes a chance and actually does something for herself, and tries to make friends, she witnesses a horrible crime. She's brought up knowing she has to be smart (freakishly smart) and independent. The Witness is about a brilliant girl, Elizabeth, who has to grow up knowing her mother has no real attachment to her. Her characters are every day people that others can relate to and that's hard to find in other books. I also love reading a description of a character and automatically getting a picture in my head of somebody in my own life. I love how deep and emotional her characters are. I currently own almost every single book she's ever written. I'm a huge sucker for anything Nora Roberts. What makes this one of Nora Roberts better heroines is the facinating look into a genius who discovers the simple joys of life and love as an adult. I GIVE THIS ONE 4 STARS.for Heroine we LOVE, Hero who bridges the quiet world of Abigail. The Mystery and romance move along very well and has a first rate ending. Her mysterious past is both entertaining and facinating. She is both interesting and fun as we watch her BLOOM with the contact with Brooks and the others in the small community she lives by. ![]() Her only comfort is her security dog and computer.
